The first CYP Innovation Hub was held on 16 November 2018. Thomas Fahrni, CEO, welcomed the guests with the words: «Today is a special day and we are celebrating a première. The day is fundamentally about innovation, networking, experience with digital components and, of course, transfer into education.» He went on to explain that there is a danger of a digital elite emerging and many people falling between two stools in the context of the digital transformation. CYP also sees itself in a position of responsibility here – CYP is not just a strong partner when it comes to training young people. With the new Skills 4.0 certificate course, CYP is also making a contribution to adult education across the board in order to strengthen Switzerland as a business hub.

At the event, [Ricky Sieber](http://www.ricky-live.ch/) conjured up exciting gadgets from his tablet and then put them back in. In a sort of «future space» complete with a chatbot, face recognition, chances to program, a station with use cases in education and a competition, there was a great deal on offer for the participants to experience and discover.
